BaronVonKronken is a site dedicated to the Volkswagen Transporter

also known as the Splitscreen, Type2 or Bulli. This website contains

information on all models of transporter built from the early 1950's all

the way through and up to August 1967. From factory details and

historical facts to period accessories, show photographs and event reviews.

I created the name 'BaronVonKronken' around 1999. In 2002 I purchased

the web domain. I designed & built this site including the BVK logo.

My name is Matt Lancaster (aka BaronVonKronken) born in 1970 in the

United Kingdom. I was a Scientist at the Atomic Energy Authority for 15

years and was Technical Advisor for the Discovery Channel show called

'Campervan Crisis' in 2006. I have been a SSVC committee member for

several years and am currently the SplitScreen Van Club website assistant.
